The INT League is looking for individuals or families who are interested in joining INT’s team of State Coordinators all over the US helping to grow their watersports community by hosting grassroots competitions.
Known affectionately as the “Little League of Watersports,” the INT was started in 1993.The INT League is an exciting league for wakeboarding, waterskiing, kneeboarding and wakeskating, wakesurfing and cable events.
The INT League was started in Washington State with four events and has expanded into over 20 states hosting over 150 event days per year. Rick Stocks, founder of the INT League, started hosting amateur events on Greenlake in Seattle, Washington, in the early 1980’s with the Lake Sammamish Water Ski Club. As President of the Club, he found that even though the club hosted USAWS events, most of the members did not compete in the events themselves. This was due to the fact that the caliber of competition was intimidating. No one wants to always lose. Rick’s idea was to make the competition fun and based on ability levels so that all members and their families could compete. He envisioned an arena where new people could be introduced to the sport of waterskiing. Greenlake, in the middle of Seattle, was the perfect place to promote a competitive and yet family friendly environment.
The INT League has grown significantly since 1993, we now offer more disciplines and we are continuing to expand our grassroots efforts across the US. In December, the INT League will be appointing a new crew of INT League State Coordinators to organize events in their state or region.
State Coordinators enjoy the many rewards of having their own business affiliated with the water sports industry. The job is to provide and produce fun events across their state. They will do that by meeting and working with ski clubs, lake owners, municipalities, local dealers, area representatives, national sponsors and competitors. For all their efforts, they are rewarded with both financial and emotional rewards!
